Q07
function/Characteristics
What is the resolution when measuring tilt angle using the accelerometer "M-A352AD10" and "M-A552AR10"?
answer
The calculation resolution is 0.002 µrad/LSB (≒1.15×10^(-7)°/LSB), and the measurable range is ±1.0472 rad (≒±60°).
In the actual measurement environment, the actual resolution is lower than the calculation resolution due to the effects of environmental vibration and temperature changes. This actual resolution depends on the environment in which it is used, so we recommend that you check whether the desired tilt change can be detected in the environment in which it is used.
We have a track record of detecting tilt changes of approximately 17 µrad (≒0.001°) while controlling environmental vibration and temperature changes. -
Q08
function/Characteristics
What is the resolution when measuring acceleration using the accelerometer "M-A352AD10" and "M-A552AR10"?
answer
The calculation resolution is 0.06 µG/LSB, and the measurable range is ±15G.
Note that the resolution" and "minimum detectable acceleration" of our accelerometer are different. The minimum detectable acceleration has the characteristic of changing depending on the frequency. For example, in the case of the M-A352AD10, it is 0.12µG/√Hz in the frequency range of 1 to 20Hz. In the case of the M-A552AR10, due to its structure, it tends to be slightly higher than this.
Please check the "Example of main characteristics (noise density)" on the brief sheet for the minimum detectable acceleration for each frequency. -
Q09
function/Characteristics
Why does the output value of the vibration sensor "M-A342VD10" and "M-A542VR10" fluctuate over a long period immediately after starting measurement? Also, how long does it take for the output value to stabilize?
answer
The fluctuation that occurs immediately after the start of measurement is a transient response of the integration process.
This transient response converges after a certain amount of time has passed. It takes 10 seconds for the vibration velocity to converge, and 60 seconds for the vibration displacement to converge.
If fluctuations in the output value affect the evaluation, exclude the data from the section where the transient response is occurring. -
Q10
function/Characteristics
Why does the bias of the accelerometer "M-A352AD10" and "M-A552AR10" fluctuate immediately after starting measurement? Also, how long does it take for the bias to stabilize?
answer
When measurement begins, bias changes occur due to circuit heat generation. This change converges in Typ. 5 min if the bias stabilization function is ON, and Typ. 15 min if it is OFF. After that, it becomes stable.
If bias stability affects the measurement, we recommend performing measurement after the bias has stabilized.
*If measurement is started when the temperature around the sensor has changed or the sensor is exposed to wind from an air conditioner, the time it takes for the temperature inside the sensor to stabilize will change, and the convergence time will also change. -
