S1C17 family

Epson's new 16-bit microcontroller features small size and low power consumption equivalent to an 8-bit microcontroller, even with the 16MB address space.
The S1C17 family of original 16-bit MCUs integrate a wide variety of interfaces, allowing connection with multiple sensors and a wealth of peripheral circuits such as an EPD driver,LCD controller and driver supporting low to medium-level resolutions.
The S1C17 family microcontroller has RISC architecture to achieve high-speed operation and low power consumption, making it ideal for mobile devices. The family includes a rich lineup of built-in Flash ROM products.
The high quality development environment and on-chip ICE function also contribute to shorten design turnaround time.

The S1C17F00series is MCU featuring EPD passive panel segment driver, - and temperature detection circuit. The S1D14F00series is low power consumption driver IC with expandability of segment display capacity. It is suitable for portable device with EPD such as smart card. The S1C17F00 series supports the EPD controller for active EPD panels.

S1C17W00series

The S1C17W22/W23 is a 16-bit MCU that features low-voltage operation from 1.2 V even though Flash memory is included. The embedded high-efficiency DC-DC converter generates the constant-voltage to drive the IC with lower power consumption than 4-bit MCUs. It is suitable for battery-driven applications that require an LCD display and timers.
