Introduction of the Case
In conceiving the studio setting for Channel Nine's Under Investigation with Liz Hayes, the show's Supervising Producer, Gareth Harvey, wanted a unique, realistic and "immersive" environment and for that he chose Epson EB-1755UNL and EB-L1505UHNL projectors to achieve a distinctive and unique look for the show.
Decision Factor
The image quality was intense enough to be unaffected by studio lighting. Also, ELPLX02 lens enables us to put the projector as close to the wall as possible that way the table for discussion can be placed as close to the backdrop as possible.
Installation
The challenging environment was projecting onto a concrete wall. They were trying to achieve a 5 meter x 8 meter wide image, so they needed brightness that produces a good rich color.
On Under Investigation the production uses the Epson projectors as the set background and on the rear-projection, to feed pre-recorded video to the studio discussion.
