Mythos Mozart
Country or Region: Germany

Introduction of the Case
Mythos Mozart is a 1,500m² installation which offers a multimedia encounter with Mozart, presenting his life and works. Enchanted by the sounds of Mozart, visitors are immersed in visually captivating moments, such as a 360-degree panorama of Vienna or an animated balloon flight. The artists involved in the project rely on Epson installation projectors, which produce flicker-free, high-resolution, colourful images.
Decision Factor
- 1) Zero-offset ultra-short throw lenses were required due to the short distance to the projection surface and the low ceiling height.
- 2) 3LCD due to the required colour fidelity.
- 3) High reliability because the technology is in use 7 days a week.
- 4) Low fan noise because the music is in the foreground.
- 5) High-resolution display of the projection.
Installation
A mix of fixed and interchangeable lens Epson projectors were used to fit the unique requirements of the installation. Ultra-short throw lenses provide floor-to-ceiling projection while remaining discreetly installed at ceiling height, thanks to their zero-offset. For more complex rooms, specialized projection mirrors are used to project content onto the floor due to space limitations in the ceiling.
