Introduction of the Case
Cogiteon Małopolska Science Centre in Kraków, Poland, transformed its Emotion Area into a 360-degree immersive experience using Epson 3LCD laser projection technology. The installation features 12 Epson EB-PU1008B laser projectors, each delivering 8,500 lumens of brightness and equipped with an ELPLU04 short-throw lens.
Decision Factor
Epson projectors were selected for their built-in edge blending and image adjustment capabilities, which enabled seamless 360-degree panoramic projection across the curved screen. In addition, the interchangeable ELPLU04 short-throw lens provided precise projection distance control, helping create a uniform 16,200 × 1,920 immersive visual experience throughout the entire installation.
Installation
The Strefa Emocji immersive experience at Cogiteon required a seamless 360-degree projection environment, with video, audio, lighting, and sensor systems working in perfect synchronization. To achieve this, 12 Epson EB-PU1008B laser projectors, each delivering 8,500 lumens of brightness and equipped with interchangeable ELPLU04 lenses, were mounted vertically on a circular metal structure. Together, they create a panoramic 360-degree image with a combined resolution of 16,200 × 1,920 pixels. Epson's built-in edge blending and image adjustment features ensured smooth image integration and precise projection mapping across the curved screen.
