Introduction of the Case
Epson supported The Benaki Museum by providing innovative equipment for the contemporary video installation in the flagship exhibition '1821 Before and After'. The goal of the installation was to create a 360-degree projection that would put the viewer at the centre of the experience and be totally immersed in the graphics. The wide range of Epson lenses enabled them to cover all surfaces of the room. Along with the high brightness and high contrast these projectors have, the experience is truly unique.
Decision Factor
The Epson team in Greece worked closely with the Benaki Museum and the system integrator 2monochannels, and supported them throughout the project.
The versatlilty of Epson's projector range was a key factor for choosing Epson and the combination of the 9,000 lumen projector and ELPLU04 short throw lens was perfect for the environment.
In addition, the high brightness and high contrast helped to create the unique experience.
Installation
One projector was used for each wall in the 360-degree projection environment, using the ELPLU04 short throw lens to fill the wall for an immersive experience.
