Seiko Epson and DCI

- TOKYO, Japan, August 19, 2013 -

A dispute between Seiko Epson Corporation (SEC) and Dynamic Cassette International Limited (DCI), in which SEC had alleged that DCI had infringed certain patents of SEC, has been resolved to the satisfaction of both parties very shortly before a two week trial was scheduled to begin in the High Court.

As part of the settlement DCI has ceased to manufacture new cartridges which are compatible with Epson printers. All other terms of the settlement are confidential as between the parties, and neither party will be making any further comment.
