Features of Epson's Micro Piezo inkjet technology
- Micro Piezo technology is a method of controlling the way ink is fired from the print head on an inkjet printer. In this unique Epson technology, an electronic signal is sent to Piezo elements placed above each nozzle on the print head, and ink droplets are fired according to the force generated by the change in shape of these elements.
- This technology enables minute volumes of a wide variety of inks – including Epson's proprietary water-based pigment inks with outstanding water-fastness and light stability – to be controlled and fired with high precision.
