Measuring Cycle Time

Do Epson robots provide satisfactory throughput?

Epson can answer this question for you before you purchase a robot.
We do so by actually using an Epson robot to perform a demonstration test and measuring the cycle time to see whether we can provide the rate of throughput you expect.

All you have to do is provide us with information about your workpieces, the size of the operation area, including feed and unload points, and conditions associated with peripheral equipment.

With your data, we can provide you with:

  1. Recommendations on the best robot for your needs
    (including mounting type, arm length, Z axis, and environmental specifications)
  2. Actual tact time with the robot we recommend
    (from demonstration test based your information)

Using a camera

Do you know the extent of Epson image processing system capabilities?

We would be happy to answer any of your questions about our image processing systems.

We will conduct a demonstration test to see whether Epson robots can handle your workpieces as your expect.
Epson will then provide you with the information below.

If your workpieces are handled with an Epson robot and image processing system:

  1. We will let you know whether our camera can detect the location and angle of your workpieces.
    We will also let you know the level of detection accuracy.
  2. We will let you know our camera is able to detect and discriminate between the features of your workpieces
    (e.g., discriminate between the front and back sides), if this capability is necessary.
  3. Offer advice for selecting the lens and extension tube.
