SIDM printers

Serial impact dot matrix (or SIDM) printers used to be the most widespread type of printer. A type of impact printer, they print by using a matrix of small pins to strike an ink ribbon and create precise dots on the page. Extremely durable, these printers are now most often used for applications that require multiple copies to be printed simultaneously, such as receipts, tickets, or invoices.

Epson is the world's leading manufacturer of SIDM printers. It offers a full range of products that can be found around the world in settings such as banks, railway stations, and hotels. SIDM printers are used widely in regions such as Asia and Latin America.
