Epson's Type II environmental labeling program
Our program is used to provide environmental information about products that is both transparent and reliable, in accordance with the ISO 14021 (JIS Q 14021) standard.
We have implemented programs for both eco labels and ecology profiles.
Eco labels
The Epson Group is preparing to start using eco labels from December 2009 to communicate the environmental features of our products and services to customers in a simple and straightforward way.
The labels will be displayed on communication tools such as brochures, product catalogs, and individual product boxes to highlight the environmental features of our products and services.

Epson ecology profiles
The environmental attributes of Epson brand products are published in the form of an “ecology profile.”
For finished products such as printers and projectors, the environmental attributes of the product as a whole, including but not limited to accompanying packaging material, supplies, and consumables, are published in the format specified by ECMA-370
(*1). For electronic devices we use our own format to provide quantitative data regarding substances included in these products.
*1 ECMA-370 specified requirements for environmental declarations established by the international standards organization ECMA International.
“The Eco Declaration” is often abbreviated as “TED.”
